Delete your account

My Climbing Guide provides permanent account deletion in the app and an email request path if you no longer have access to it.

Delete in the app

1. Sign in to My Climbing Guide.
2. Open the navigation drawer and choose Profile.
3. Under Account and data, optionally choose Export my data.
4. Choose Delete account, type the confirmation word shown, and confirm permanent deletion.

The app signs you out and clears local account data after the server completes the deletion. This action cannot be undone.

Request deletion without the app

Email us from the address associated with your My Climbing Guide account. Use the prepared request below or include the subject My Climbing Guide account deletion request. We may ask you to confirm control of the account email before deletion.

Data deleted with the account

• Authentication account and profile information.
• Posts, comments, route beta, uploaded account media, reactions, and route ratings.
• Friend relationships, shares, mentions, direct messages, and active shared pins.
• Saved, completed, favorited, and private route state associated with the account.
• Push-notification registrations and other account-linked application metadata.

Limited records that may remain

We may retain de-identified safety reports, deletion audit records, security logs, or records required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or protection of users. These records are limited to their safety or compliance purpose and are not used to restore your profile. Information another user independently saved outside the service is outside our control.
